[Lasa] question about research with minors

Dear All,
I am finishing up a draft of the IRB protocol for my upcoming fieldwork in
Guayaquil and was wondering if anyone could offer advice on the legal
obligations and "culturally appropriate" protocol for witnessing and
reporting the abuse of minors during research. A big part of my project
deals with the children of migrants (I'm focusing on youth between 15-24).
I have tried consulting the INNFA website, which seems to be down at the
moment. I'm not sure what other organization (private or public) would have
information on this sort of thing. Anyway, if anyone has experience with
this aspect of research ethics, I would very much appreciate feedback,
opinions, recommendations, etc. Thanks so much!
Best,
Lorien Olive
