[Lasa] seeking advice on organizations for archaeological preservation

Hello, I'm an undergraduate at Carleton College studying anthropology, and have done independent research in Peru and Guatemala on topics relating to historical memory and indigenous communities, but don't have experience specifically with Ecuador. I am applying for a Fulbright to continue working on issues of heritage preservation along the intersection of anthropology-archaeology in Latin America, ideally with some sort of institution involved in that sort of work. However, I've been a little overwhelmed by the sheer volume of sites and organizations, and it has been suggested to me that someone on this list might be able to point me in the direction of reputable and interesting organizations which I might be able to work with. Any advice or contacts you could help me with would be hugely appreciated.
