Subject: El Perico
To: LALA-L@listserv.fiu.edu

Dear SALALM-istas,

I've received a query from a person in the San Francisco Bay area who is trying to locate about ten issues of a newspaper entitled "El Perico" published in Ecuador in 1885 by his grandfather - specifically issues between November 1885 and February 1886. He says that at least one Ecuadorian library (Guayaquil) has a run of this paper in their archives but they have not yet digitized or put them on microfilm as far as he knows. He would like to know if there are any extant copies
anywhere in the U.S. He asks also (if he ends up having to go directly to the archives), could he reasonably expect to have access to these documents. Essntially he is hoping to access the content as easily and cost effectively as possible -- preferaby by receiving photo copies or digital copies without physically having to travel to Guayaquil (or Quito).

If there is anyone on the list who can assist with information please write to him directly -- following are his datos.
