 en Barcelona. El propósito de estas becas es ayudar a congregar una comunidad diversa y dinámica de ecuatorianistas en Barcelona al reducir ciertos gastos que implica un viaje internacional de tal naturaleza. El comité anticipa poder entregar entre 3 y 4 becas

 de Estudios Ecuatorianos convoca a los estudiantes de posgrado a participar en el concurso al mejor ensayo académico inédito escrito por un/a estudiante de maestría o doctorado.

</span><span style="" lang="ES-TRAD">El premio consistirá en la suma de US$200, una membresía de estudiante de LASA y la sección de Estudios Ecuatorianos, y una placa conmemorativa. Además, el/la estudiante ganador/a recibirá comentarios personalizados y tutelaje

 del comité orientado al objetivo de revisar el artículo para posible publicación en un medio adecuado. La sección anunciará el autor y título del ensayo ganador en todas las actividades que organiza durante el congreso de LASA 2018 (paneles de la sección,

</b><span style="font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif">The Ecuadorian Studies section invites graduate students to submit their work for consideration for the graduate paper prize, to be awarded to the best unpublished paper written by a currently-enrolled

 Masters or doctoral student. The winner will receive US$200, a student membership in LASA and the Ecuadorian Studies section, and a commemorative plaque. In addition, the winning student will receive tailored feedback and mentoring from the committee oriented

 to revising the paper towards placement in an appropriate journal. The prize and its recipient will be announced at activities sponsored by the Ecuadorian Studies section during LASA 2018, including the section’s panels, reception, and business meeting.
