Quizá notaron que no realizamos elecciones previo al congreso LASA22. Eso es porque no hubo ninguna postulación a ninguna de las posiciones (presidente, secretario/tesorero, miembro del consejo ejecutivo). Ahora existe la posibilidad de designar las nuevas autoridades en nuestro Business Meeting en LASA22, el día viernes, 6 de mayo, de 18:00 a 19:30. Dado que la Sección de Estudios Ecuatorianos de LASA es uno de los pocos espacios de intercambio académico sobre el Ecuador, estamos seguros que todos acordamos sobre la importancia de mantener este espacio con vida. Por lo tanto, queremos convocarlos a participar en el Business Meeting. Especialmente bienvenidas son participaciones que contemplan postular para uno de los puestos:</span></span></span></p>

You may have noticed that we did not hold elections prior to the LASA22 congress. That is because there were no applications for any of the positions (president, secretary/treasurer, executive council member). There is the possibility of designating the new authorities at our Business Meeting at LASA22, on Friday, May 6, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Given that LASA's Ecuadorian Studies Section is one of the few spaces for academic exchange on Ecuador, we are sure that we all agree on the importance of keeping this space alive.
