Hello Mr. Ramos,

I am a legal intern at the Advocates for Human Rights in Minneapolis, MN
and we found your contact information from the Latin American Studies
Association. We are representing a woman from Ecuador who is seeking asylum
as a result of years of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse she
suffered at the hands of her father and are seeking an expert on child
abuse / intra-family violence in Ecuador.

Our claim for asylum is tentatively based on her being a child/daughter in
an abusive parental relationship. We are approaching an individual hearing
and were wondering if you may be able to be of assistance on this case, or
may know someone who we could reach out to. Attached you will find a brief
case summary.

We are hoping to have an expert provide a declaration for our client
regarding child abuse, Ecuador's ability or inability to protect children,
as well as the likelihood of children being abused into adulthood by a
parent abuser. As the individual hearing and filing deadlines are coming
up, we are hoping to have an expert declaration by next week. Please let us
know if you would be able to provide a declaration or assistance on any of
these matters, and additionally, if you'd be able to provide testimony over
the phone for the individual hearing, or know someone we may be able to
reach out to.

Thank you,
Michelle
